His work spans ERC-funded research, robotics entrepreneurship, LLMs, reinforcement learning, and emerging defense applications.
Tomasz Trzciński, ELLIS Fellow and director of the ELLIS Unit Warsaw, is a co-author of a paper that received a Best Paper Award at NeurIPS 2025.
The ELLIS Unit Warsaw had the pleasure of hosting the PreNeurIPS 2025 poster session, organized in parallel with leading ELLIS units across Europe. We are proud to have contributed to this international network of pre-conference gatherings showcasing cutting edge machine learning research.
The second edition of the ELLIS Units’ Coordinators Retreat took place on 6–8 October 2025 in the Netherlands, bringing together coordinators and representatives from across the European ELLIS network for several days of collaborative work, strategic planning and community building. We are pleased to share that the coordinator of ELLIS Unit Warsaw actively participated in this year’s meeting.
PreNeurIPS poster sessions are organized by ELLIS units across Europe and offer a unique opportunity to showcase research accepted to leading conferences in machine learning and artificial intelligence. The event brings together emerging scholars in the field, providing a space for scientific exchange, insightful discussions, and building new collaborations.
Warsaw played host to the ELLIS Doctoral Symposium (EDS), a major European gathering devoted to the theme of robust artificial intelligence. Nearly 180 attendees, including doctoral students, invited experts, industry representatives, and honorary patrons, came together for a week of scientific exchange and networking.
